Deborah L. V. Campo, Aurora, a contemporary abstract painter, sculpture published poet and children's book author continues to delight the public with her works.
A strong interest in the arts developed at an early age and continued throughout her childhood. She painted and drew her interpretations of the world around her in a constant growth of self expressionism.
Her works are original, innovative, spiritual and visionary. Deborah’s strength in colour application is apparent with vibrant, aggressive, bold and dramatic contrasts of hues. She celebrates her Canadian culture in inspirations from nature, painting Georgian Bay landscapes in her series entitled “The Petrified Forest". These strong images of pine trees emerging from the brilliant sunsets and day breaks were featured on Hillebrand Artist Series Wine Label 2005 Sauvignon Blanc and VQA Sauvignon Blanc of 2006 that achieved the Bronze Medal in the American Wine Society 2007 . September of 2010 the artist Deborah Campo installed Aurora's first large scale municipal sculpture at the Aurora Town Hall entitled “The Peace Flame Tree”.
